Our customer service team is ready to help. This fixed-price combo listing includes the PAC's Radio Replacement Interface and the Steering Wheels Controls Adapter. The radio replacement interface allows the replacement of a factory radio in select General Motors vehicles with Class II radios. Using this interface will retain factory features such as OnStar, warning chimes, Rear Seat Controls (RSC), Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) and the BOSE amplifier when the original radio is removed. The interface also provides data bus driven outputs such as retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed sensor (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger and parking brake.
Speed through your radio replacement installation when using the SWI-RC-1 to retain your factory steering wheel controls. To program the SWI-RC-1 simply go to the SWI-RC-1 installation guide from your PC, MAC or mobile device, select the make/model/year and what of brand radio you are installing, then set the DIP switches according to the information provided. In addition to DIP switch programming, the SWI-RC-1 is capable of being manually programmed like the Classic SWI-RC. You will also save time when using the accessory output generated by the SWI-RC-1 in CAN-Bus/LAN/Class II vehicles instead of searching for an accessory wire for your aftermarket radio.Steering Wheel controls retention adapter. General Installation and Operation Manual. In-field updateable firmware via USB. Chime Module Included, with 4 level adjustability. Retains OnStar® when the factory radio is replaced. Retains Bose amplified audio system (if equipped). Provides 10 Amp 12-volt accessory output. Retains all safety warning chimes. Maintains a healthy status on the Class II databus. Retains Rear Seat Radio Controls. Retains Rear Seat Audio (connects to aftermarket radio aux input). Plug-in installation for vehicles with 24-pin harness. Steering Wheel Controls Adapter Features.
Quick and easy pre-programmed button function by DIP switch selection. Works on Analog (resistive) and Data SWC systems. For vehicles with CAN-Bus, GMLAN, CLASS II, LIN-Bus, I-BUS, or analog SWC. Supports classic, SWI-RC style button programming.
Customizable button functions (short press/long press/button reassignment). Provides 2 amp, 12volt accessory output (CAN-Bus, LAN and Class II applications). Compatible with all late model brands of radios with 3.5mm or two wire connections. The aftermarket radio must have an auxiliary input in order for the factory RSE audio to be retained through the cabin speakers.RSC buttons that are identical to the SWC will mimic the SWC functon for function. The interfaces accessory output is only rated at 10 amps. It is designed for the new aftermarket head unit ONLY. For Bose systems, the recommended line level input is 2-4 volts from the aftermarket radio. To prevent over driven audio when installing into a vehicle with a Bose system and the aftermarket radio does not have low level outputs then an LOC (part # LP3-2) is recommended to match the input voltage or you can create an audio attenuation circuit.
To prevent ground loop or engine noise when installing aftermarket radios that use a common ground on the outer shield of the low level outputs will require a ground loop isolator. The aftermarket radio MUST be equipped with a wired remote input (3.5mm headphone style jack or Blue/Yellow wire) to be compatible ex. A port or wire on the back of the radio labeled W/R, REM, Wired Remote, Remote, Rem Cont etc. Does not retain the HVAC controls found in some General Motors vehicles.
