The Radio Replacement Interface will help you retain your OnStar® system's functionality and your Bose factory-installed amplifier (if present) when your vehicle's factory radio is replaced with an aftermarket radio in a 29-bit GMLAN vehicle. You'll be able to retain your warning chimes, Rear Seat Controls (RSC) and factory XM radio. The PAC OS-5 will also provide data driven outputs such as retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed sensor (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger and parking brake. Speed through your radio replacement installation when using the SWI-RC-1 to retain your factory steering wheel controls. To program the SWI-RC-1 simply go to the SWI-RC-1 installation guide from your PC, MAC or mobile device, select the make/model/year and what of brand radio you are installing, then set the DIP switches according to the information provided.

In addition to DIP switch programming, the SWI-RC-1 is capable of being manually programmed like the Classic SWI-RC. You will also save time when using the accessory output generated by the SWI-RC-1 in CAN-Bus/LAN/Class II vehicles instead of searching for an accessory wire for your aftermarket radio. Retains OnStar when the factory radio is replaced. Retains Factory Bluetooth (2009+ model vehicles). Retains rear seat audio controls. Retains all warning chimes (chime module included). Retains factory BOSE audio systems.

Retains factory premium BOSE audio Y91 digital. Chime volume adjustment (factory buttons).

Quick and easy pre-programmed button function by DIP switch selection. Works on Analog (resistive) and Data SWC systems.

For vehicles with CAN-Bus, GMLAN, CLASS II, LIN-Bus, I-BUS, or analog SWC. Supports classic, SWI-RC style button programming. Customizable button functions (short press/long press/button reassignment).

Provides 2 amp, 12volt accessory output (CAN-Bus, LAN and Class II applications). Compatible with all late model brands of radios with 3.5mm or two wire connections. The radio replacement adapter will retain the use of the factory XM receiver. Factory SWC or RSE controls must be present for use of this feature. Premium factory amplified systems will not fade as neither the aftermarket radio or the RP interface have the ability to control the amplifiers fader. 2012 Avalanche, Sierra, Silverado Suburban, Tahoe & Yukon vehicles equipped with a Navigation radio require the OSGMLAN44 harness.

Chevrolet Express vans & GMC Savannah vans equipped with diesel engines are not compatible. In order to retain the factory XM tuner the aftermarket head unit MUST be equipped with an auxiliary input. In order to retain the factory XM tuner the vehicle must be equipped with steering wheel controls and a driver information center.

Does not retain the HVAC controls found in some General Motors vehicles. The aftermarket radio MUST be equipped with a wired remote input (3.5mm headphone style jack or Blue/Yellow wire) to be compatible ex. A port or wire on the back of the radio labeled W/R, REM, Wired Remote, Remote, Rem Cont etc. Additional vehicles may be compatible but not listed.
